Default A Weird One - Bomb Factory Plugs \"squeaking\"

Never seen this one before. So far noticed it only on Bomb Factory plugs, primarily the Moogerfooger plugs. With no playback, you can clearly hear the plug squeaking like a mouse chirping at you. No, I have not been drinking today. Yet.

The plug is the first instance on a standard mono playback track.

Thought I was losing my mind.

We are running the latest Mac OS X with the latest PT 6 update on an HD3 system with 2 gigs of ram. Lots of CPU headroom. Just this damn mouse in the background.

Is this ProTools talking to me.....

My mix system makes noise out the computer outputs as the DigiBase is populating. Heck, any time PT "draws" on the screen.
It's kinda creepy.

That has happened to me too. I don't know what to say about it.

I thought this was experienced normally so I never mentioned it, but I hear it all the time. I think its only from the moogerfooger plugs tho. Ive been hearing it since OS9 and PT5. I thought it was a "feature" to sound like the real hardware boxes. The sound is like random high pitch squeaks and squeals (very low dB) that seem somewhat correlated to the LFOs on the plugs. Kind of like an old movie sound effect for a robot or a spaceship computer at work. (no, Im not high either, I dont think)

Try it-- Put a Lowpass on a track, tweak it, go about your session, and when you stop working for a bit, listen.. youll hear it for sure. I hear it on all rigs..

It's probably a joke left in the code by previous owner Erik Gavriluk.

i seriously doubt it's a plugin if it's chirping. if it's chirping and squeaking then it has to be processor noise coming from you cpu and it correlates to all tasks...even moving the mouse or making the dock appear and disappear. I'd bet money on it.

Is the plug-in authorized? Some demo versions squeak.

No this is a weird Bombfactory twilight zone thing, I know I've experienced it as well and it just happens. It's kind of like the time I recorded in an old house in Ireland with no AC, we had to go with the sound of sheep on everything.
