Default Video BUG in PT10

Hey,

I am mostly using PT for music, but occasionally i do some postproduction and video. All was good on PT9, but i have (unfortunately?) upgraded to PT10 and today had first session with video... it did not go well. As soon as i load video track, PT slows down...way down. It is impossible to do any editing on audio or midi, because if i click on a clip, it takes about 1.5 second until it is selected... if i click and drag it, there is no control over it as the delay is unbearable, when i want to drop the clip in new place, it doesn`t show it so i can`t see where it is going... hard to describe, but basically it feels like comp is maxed out and doesn`t have resources for redraws.. but the system usage shows around 2%! And I know this is not the issue of cpu, the session is way too simple for that. And the best thing at the end: when I actually play the session, everything works great, clips moving instantly etc.! As soon as I stop, back to delay. Does anyone have a clue what`s going on? Win7

I have the same problem if a client sends me a file in a very large resolution. Use QT Pro or similar software to adjust the resolution.

What other similar software (than QT) would work well? I just can`t digest this Apple

Thanks

Can I presume that you have
pt software on the system / c: drive
Audio on a different physical drive
Video on a different drive also.
