Default Plug-in sorting

I've got plugins double and triple listed. Could someone explain how to sort these out, move them to the drop down menu of my choice and get rid of the ones I don't want? I hate pummeling the board w\ question that are in the digi guide but I can usually get a much better answer around here.

I think there should be a push for better reference manual.. hopefully the new help features in 7.0 will go over well.

Unfortunately, we cant organize these ourselves the way we would like to. Another "Digi" moment where ya just gotta scratch your head over that one.

I find the reference manual well written with easy step by step procedures. The .PDF version is even better because you are able to do quick searches through the document. Just type in what you are looking for and you can find it quickly in most cases.

Which particular plugins? Are they the latest versions? Some plugins have updates that fix some category issues.

Yeah, I've seen this with a couple of plugs. Sound Blender from Sound Toys is one that lists itself in Pitch Shift, Delay, and one or two others (probably because it’s a multi FX plug and doesn’t fit in just one). It would be nice to be able to organize them the way we want to, but...category isn’t bad and you can hold alt (I think) as you start the plug and add it to the “most used” list.

I have them currently organized by category, I've actually been thinking for the past couple of day of going over to the wild side and organizing them by manufacturer.

I'm not seeing it in the reference guide. Is there a way to delete a double from a category I don't want it in, or at least put it at the bottom of the list? Also... I can't uninstall some plugs I don't use anymore. I remove them from add\remove hardware as suggested by digi but then it says when I load PT that the plug is not properly installed and shuts down PT, and thats not good.
