Default Workspace Browser separate A V Permissions combined?

Why are the A and V permissions in the workspace browser combined? How are we supposed to manage separate Audio and Video drives?

Current workaround: Set video drive to "Transfer" and when "Video is located on a drive set to transfer" error pops up, you know the videos are indeed on a separate drive from the Audio (set to "Record"). Since videos for some reason still play from Transfer drives, just press "Cancel" and the drive will play videos anyway.

But why would they purposefully remove a drive management feature? Are we supposed to be doing something differently now; is there some new feature I'm overlooking?
