I order to get the full version of 2018 standard, you can get a one month rental/subscription for $30. I'm not sure if you still need an iLok or you can auth from the cloud for subscriptions. Something to investigate.

Yeah that's what I was thinking about doing but I wasn't sure if I could do it without the ilok

This is the best way to demo Pro Tools. It's come a long way since 11.

Call Sweetwater, they can probably tell you if the subscriptions work with the iLok cloud - they sell the subscriptions also.
