format external drive to OS X extended?
a question for you people... i updated my old gear to a powerbook osx.4.3 and 002R.
i have a lacie firewire d2 250 gig with all my protools stuff. it has been formatted during my OS 9.2.2 days (OS Extended). it seems to work fine... but... 1) does somebody think i should format in OSX? can i expect better performance? 2) i've read that digidesign recommends journaling. but i thought i've read that BFD recommends non-journaled. so what about journaling? thx! p |

Re: format external drive to OS X extended?
you should reformat drives from time to time just to help keep them healthy.
personally I like to reformat after one project is done and the next begins.
