You should just be able to change it to play out the built-in (internal) speaker by selecting it in either of these:
What version of the Driver did you install? The Driver files on Mac are documented here: avid.force.com/pkb/articles/how_to/Manually-Uninstall-Avid-Audio-Interface-Driver-Components-Mac-OS-X

i followed those steps it still there avid 003 rack..Before it would say digi003 and the core audio app would open..Its not any more and i cant open pt 8..It seems to the new driver is causing spikes in logic x and system overload messages which never happen in logic x
