Default Timecode offset

I am using a Virtual Recorder to temporarily record video for sweetening purposes, but the VR doesn't record SMPTE from the master tape. It generates it's own. Can I tell PT to play back at a different timecode than what is recorded in PT from the master tape? I don't really want to keep changing session timecode when I use the VR and when I use the master tape.
