Pro Tools LE 8.0 Upgrade

If I bought the Pro Tools LE 8.0 Upgrade could I install it to a Mac Pro and be up and running or does it require previous versions of LE on the system to upgrade to 8.0. I'm trying to figure out how to get my original mbox working on a mac pro because the G5 I was using took a dump. So, if I could get the upgrade to 8.0 and install it in a mac pro with osx 10.5 would this work, or does my version 7.1 need to on the hard drive in order to upgrade? Thanks a mill

So I can just get a 2008 Mac Pro 2.8 ghz 8 core with a fresh install of 10.5 then purchase the LE upgrade 8.0 and install it then plug my mbox in and record? I'm on a very tight budget so I must know exactly what I'm facing here. thanks again!!!

Yes, you can.

I elaborated in my answer to your other post. I didn't realize you were talking about a used Mac Pro, so you should be okay. If you were to get a new Mac Pro, then you would not be able to use the old Mbox, because it wouldn't be compatible with OS Lion.
