Avid response re; Re-install PT10 after Hard drive Crash

While this Forum is almost always very helpful I recently had a not so great experience tryin to get help here.

I'm posting this Thread in hopes to help others not have to go through what I went through.

In a previous Thread I made many attempts to explain as clearly as I could & even provided Pics as requested Regarding the problems I was having trying to re-install my PT10 after replacing the crashed Hard drive.

I was told over & over here to go to Avid & pull up my Acount & go from there. I kept stating over & over my PT10 came with Disks & Avid website has no record of my Account & couldn't download from there. I kept being told I was wrong & to go back & basically figure it out theyre done with my Thread.

I finally filed a Case with Avid via Sweetwater Tech Support where I purchased my system & PT10. They, Sweetwater, got me up & running about a week ago. Here is the response from Avid I received today.

Hi Glenn,

Since the Pro Tools 10 that you had came with CDs, it will not be reflecting on your Avid account. If in case you need the installers again, you can just call us back at 650-237-1700 option 3 from Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 8am-5pm PST then we'll be providing you with the installers.

Regarding the iLok, can you please provide me with the serial number of your iLok key? It is embedded on your iLok key and it starts with 00.
