Strange Pumpkin, do you have UAD installed? The pattern I see in this thread is that almost everyone who has UAD in their profile is seeing this, and the two people who are not do not have UAD.

Just looking for clues

Also, anyone here with Eucontrol needs to be on version 3.1.3, or you'll definitely see this problem (there seems to be more than one root cause). Even if you are not USING an Artist series, if you have an earlier version of Eucontrol launched you will see this problem.

Having the same problem here. Spinning ball when trying to activate an inactive send. Just installed 11.2 and I'm on 10.8.5

Activating tracks freezes my system sometimes too. Didn't happen with earlier versions.

10.8.5 here and while I do get a spinning beach ball on reactivating a vi it's only for a second or two but then goes away and everything's okay. Did this with EWQLSO and the latest Play engine (4.1.8) - EW stuff can be a bear on a system. And the vi plays okay. No problems activating an inactive send either. 50+ track sessions typical.

Update:
In a session with several Kontakt instruments I'd get a longer (about 5 seconds) spinning beach ball but again that would go away and things would play fine.

I'm having hangs too now:

Today I made an instrument track containing Battery (latest version) "hide and inactive".

After reactivating the track later again, PT froze with SWOD !

I tried it with several session but it happened with other sessions, too. I doubt that this was a problem in pre 10.9.4 versions ...

Edit: But with deactivating & reactivating instrument tracks containing Nexus, all is fine.
