Should the update from 11.2 to 11.2.1 be a clean install?
Should I be fully uninstalling 11.2 before installing 11.2.1? If so, could I make a copy of my AAX plugins folder, to move back without having to reinstall them all?

Same here. We have never unistalled any previous PTHD version before and have never had anybissues what so ever. Drag and drop and choose replace and it will install over the old version and no need to reinstall plugins.
Best of Luck Chris
