When trying to delete any sound region or fade in

After moving video in the video-track using the spot mode (a
transaction it wasn't possible to undo for some reason) I noticed
somewhat later that when trying to delete any sound region or fade in
one of the tracks that were part of the timeline while moving video
all sound of the concerned track are deleted with it! There are
workarounds possible like moving a sound to another new or empty
track and delete it there, so that the effect is the same - a sound
has been deleted. And it is possible to shorten or lengthen any
sound, as long as there is no fade in it, since deleting the fade
also ends up deleting the complete track. Luckily undo works here...
Do you understand my problem? It is just quite risky to work with
this project and very uncomfortable, since at any time I have to keep
in mind that I never should delete any region in this it.
To solve my problem I neither succeeded in exporting the project
(OMF) since the whole thing started to get incredibly out of sync,
and all the fades were converted to simple files, nor in "saving
as" in another folder since that didn't change anything except
about the accessibility of the fades in case I didn't export them
with the project and let them ProTools create new. There was also no
way to import the "broken" tracks into another project, it
just didn't help, the effect was none.
