Default POD 2.0 muddy !

Hi !

I record everything with my POD 2.0 because i like it a lot. But the problem is that sometimes it get a really muddy sound where i like it ! ( NOT A LOT OF DRIVE ) just enough !

I want to get brilliant sound NOT muddy but i want to hear the the tight wood tone of my guitar !

How i can achieve this ? I hear the mp3 In my head i think from intel Doc and it have exactly what im talkig about a brilliant with a decent feel of bass strins BT not muddy ! And in the line6 demos sounds like that ?

Any tips ? Thanks again !!!

So...let me understand. You record everything through a Pod 2.0 because you like it a lot...but it sounds muddy where you like it? So, you DON'T like it? Hmmmm.

Well, the Pod XT has some drastic improvements over the 2.0, so maybe get one of those?
Then again, Pods are simply what they are.
I have an XT Pro, which I use for quick recording, demoing, and whatnot. But, for tracking guitars for keeps, I generally mic up an amp (or two).
I guess if you're getting mud, you need to do some tweaking on whatever setting is producing the mud.

How are you listening? If you are dialing the POD with headphones and then listening to playback with speakers, try staying on the speakers the entire time. The best advice is to adjust the POD so it sounds good on your speakers(assuming your speakers are reasonably accurate).

I monitor it trough the speaker while recording !

I have a Mackie Hr824 pair . I have to record the guitar in front of the speaker at listening position . Can be this the problem ? Can be the pickup receiving the signal from the speakers ? Or maybe talking stupid things ?

Thanks !
