Default Using a stompbox on Vocals thru PT6.1?

I use a Boss Digital Delay/Reverb on vocals when I sing live, & I'd like to use it in my recording as well.

What is the best way to hook it up to ProTools:

Mic to Stompbox to Pre-Amp to Digi 002?
Mic to Pre-Amp to Stompbox to Digi 002?
Connect through an insert?

Thanks

i'd use it as an insert so that atleast your mic can be balanced(the pedal is 1/4" unbalanced i think)

I'd strongly suggest not using it at all, or maybe just monitoring your signal with (if you must because it's what you're used to). You certainly wouldn't want to track with it. The Digirack effects are worlds better than that mess. Just my opinion.

Aren't stomp boxes designed to be high impedance, going between guitar and amp? So if you use it at all, you will need to match the impedance going in and coming out. Big mess, I agree.
