Default Re: 002 power harness "hard time"???

This has been a problem since the 002 first came out - what 6 years ago or so? All of these fixes work. The new harness is better, but not perfect. If you really want it to be bullet proof as well as upgrade the whole box to blow away even HD, go to www.blacklionaudio.com
They upgrade everything and turns it into what is really a professional unit.

Still wrong. It does not have anything to do with the IEC power cord or connector. It has to do with smaller white molex type connectors in the unit that can only be accessed by unscrewing all the little screws and openig up the unit. The fact that you are considering cutting the IEC cord and soldering it to the IEC recepticle puts serious doubt in my mind that you should be attempting the solder the connection solutons posted earlier. You clearly don't know what the power harness is still. When Digidesign sends you one, I highly suggest you take it to someone who has more experience with electronics. I'm not trying to be a jerk (though I probably sound like one here). It's just that I'd hate to see you mess up your IEC connection and never even touch the power harness issue.
