I Can Not Open or Uninstall Pro Tools M Powered 7.3 on Vista

I Can Not Open or Uninstall Pro Tools M Powered 7.3 on Vista. I installed it as stand alone but I have the Moble Pre and so I should have done the one with hardware but now it won't let me open it, its asking for an iLok that I don't have and when I try to uninstall it, it says that protools is already installed and I have to uninstall it but thats what I'm trying to do uninstall so I'm stuck.

Vista sucks. I set it up under the option to open the file on Windows XP SP2 mode.

Can someone please help me get this fixed? Thank you very much

Try the PT Uninstaller Utility.

Also, the only version of Pro Tools that is compatible with Vista is Pro Tools 7.4.

Another also, if you don't have an ilok, then how do you have MPowered? An ilok is required to run the software, and it comes with one when you purchase. I'm just a little confused on that one.

have you registered your copy of pro tools?

i bought 7.3 and couldnt install it either.

but i went to the digi website, registered and they automatically kicked me an upgrade email.

do so and download the 7.4 upgrade and everything should work fine.

and your copy should have come with an iLok....

You don't need the iLok to run the MobilePre, you need the iLok to run the Pro Tools software.

It is a fact. Pro Tools MPowered requires an iLok to run. Period.

That's the first time you have said anything about having MPowered Academic. Your original post said nothing about that; you only mentioned MPowered.

It really doesn't make any difference; neither one will run on Vista.

I'm had PT Academic 7.3 and received a msg from M Audio offering an upgrade to M Powered 7.4. I loaded it into my Dell XPS laptop with Vista and it works fine. Does require iLok and some M Powered hardware though.
