Trying to Purchase PT 9 upgrade

Hi, has anyone else had issues with the online checkout at AVID?


I'm trying to purchase PT 9 crossgrade download (From LE 8)

I enter my AVID login and shipping/billing address auto populates I select my payment method and agree to their disclaimer and then FAIL!

I keep getting an error saying "Payment failed. Please try again or contact customer service."

When you click on this it just lets you edit the payment method and you can try again.

I have tried different credit cards, OS's, browsers and paypal.

All return the same error.

I have checked my address details (I'm from Australia) and contacted customer support, who don't have an inbound line only email. They can't call me back because I am in a different time zone and offer little in the form of emails.

I hope somone in this forum knows what I can try as I have a mixing project due and wish to use PT 9 with my motu sound card (Yay) and not my PT 8 plus Mbox Micro.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also I have tried turning pop up blockers off and using a proxy, standing on my head and cursing a lot.

I am getting exactly the same problems. I have also tried to select the Credit Card payment as well as PayPal - no success.

I have tried with IE8, Chrome and Safari - no luck.


Darn - I would surely like to purchase a crossgrade, but cannot.

And tried a new site registration - Worked.

And now the ilok conundrum...

Man, feeling the pinch of this process. Lost a fair few hours.

Native instruments purchase & registration via service centre apes this.

Finally have a track open.

hey Square and others.

If you have such problems be SURE to contact your creditcard company and check if, by accident, you do not have multiple orders paid........

I once had this kinda thing and in the end I figured out that I paid my voip-phone credit 3 times......

It took me a long time to use all of it!

Are you in the Digi store for your country?

It won't work otherwise!! used to but now there's an address restriction.

Go buy at sweetwater and use credit card

I was in the correct region crizdee.

All sorted now, but thanks for the heads up.

Anyone else with this issue can either create a new profile or purchase at sweetwater as you say (although I can't confirm this).

I am now in the process of getting customer support to merge my two profiles.
