No digital out on 002R

Hi all. First post for me. I searched this forum and elsewhere, but haven't found my solution. I hope you can help.

I get no digital output from my 002R. I have, in the past, used my digital I/O flawlessly with outboard reverb and a DAT machine; but, I just bought a DAC and am getting no signal through it whatsoever.

I have hooked up both fiber optic and coax, switched the optical format selector back and forth from adat to s/pdif, and still have gotten no output. I tried changing them on my Digi Core Audio setup, and still nothing.

Didn't there used to be an "optical = coax/adat" selector on the Playback Engine setup? I don't have that choice anymore. What am I doing wrong, folks?

By the way, I have my iMac connected to one of the inputs on the DAC via mini toslink and it is working perfectly -- so I know the DAC is fine.

Are you sure that the 002 is selected in the Playback Engine of Pro Tools?

Hold the 'n' key as you boot Pro Tools to get the Playback Engine window.
