Default FORMATTED Drive PT 8.0 won't install now....

Same issue, digisupt has replied at all in 4 days. I formatted my drive, install windows XP, all the updates etc... Finally installed PT 7.4 no issues, then downloaded PT 8.0 5 times, 3 times the extraction had a error. The two successful times, the install had a error during the Creative Collection install... This second error I wrote it down in case digisupt happens to see.....

CRC Error C://Program files\Installation Information\{409A13BD-5F3E-442B-BA7B-A1E32B2D8927}\Protools Creative Collection\data2.cab doesn;t match the file in the setup's .cab file.

THis sucks balls... I'm fed up 4 days now

Run with 7.4 so you can work. Clone the system drive to another drive and work on getting PT8 to function when you have spare time(leave the 7.4 drive alone until you have PT8 working).

My reply in your other thread. Doing images will save you hours and even days of frustration.

Create an ISO image, mount it, and install from the HD, not a DVD disk.

For direct support, call Digidesign. The forum isn't for direct one on one support.
