Default System Compatibility with Pro Tools LE 8

I recently purchased a Gateway Laptop NV78 and wanted to get some opinions about if it's compatible with PT8.

Thanks for the feedback.

Mainboard : Gateway NV78
Chipset : Intel GM45/GM47
Processor : Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T6670 @ 2200 MHz
Physical Memory : 4096 MB (2 x 2048 DDR3-SDRAM )
Video Card : Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Hard Disk : WDC (500 GB)
DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633C ATA Device
Monitor Type : SAMSUNG - 18 inches
Network Card : Wireless WiFi Link 5100
Network Card : NetLink BCM5784M Gigabit Ethernet PCIe
Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Editio

Looks like a monster. At this point, I think you will just have to experiment with it. Win7 is not tested, although some folks have it working(I failed with a desktop that DID work with XP). Laptops are pretty much a crapshoot anyway, so load up and see what happens. If it works for recording several minutes of stereo on the system drive, get a firewire drive and pat yourself on the back for being lucky

FWIW, my older Gateway worked fine and my newer one works, but often freezes after 10-15 minutes of recording

Thanks Albee!!! My system keeps freezing during the DVD download and I think I've tried to load this thing about 30 or more times so far. Frustrating as Heck!
