the current AIR Instruments installer seems to be omitting DB-33 and Vacuum here; anyone aware of other installers?

never mind. i was looking in the Application folder, and for some reason folders weren't created for MIDI assignments for those two instruments. but the plug-ins themselves are there.

Nowadays plugin companies need to make a good effort to convince me giving them even upgrade money, let alone selling me a new plugin.

Whatever is not working ARM native by year end is dead to me.

By year's end it would mean that they've essentially had a year with a working version of PT Native, so I agree that that's far too long of a delay to not have AAX-Native. I think many of these hold-outs will deliver before then, and some will not because they have no plans to ever do so.

so I don't get it ... AIR updates everything related to Pro Tools plugs and keeps us in the cold for Hybrid, Strike, Vacuum etc

AIR/Avid contract is not public, but so far as I have understood it leaves AIR plenty of room to make money. For example AU versions are not included in PT deal because they are useless in PT environment.

If they want to make money they need to update their plugs

Why? I suspect behavior reflects reality, ...that Avid expects updates to these plugins for free and won't pay. i.e. it's not worth AIR doing work there where they make no additional income. And meanwhile Avid is off doing their own things with new plugins. Clearly the relationship has had serious issues for a while.

Are the AIR Music Tech versions of the likes of Xpand, Boom etc. Apple Silicon native? I don’t think they are unless I’m mistaken… Which makes me wonder if Avid actually owns/controls the code for the Avid bundled versions so has been more timely updating them?

All AIR bundled plugins are AAX Apple silicon native except the ones mentioned by Becharax. AIR doing that was in large part the gate to 2023.3 being a “production” Apple silicon release.
