Using Presonus Studio III console as HUI?

I am trying to help a friend with a new package of StudioLive Series III 32sx(24 fader) and a new custom PC. The system runs really well and all IO works exactly as expected. But I can't figure out how to get the mixer to appear as a HUI controller. In the Peripherals menu where it would be set up(as I have done with many other HUI devices), the console is not an available thing to select(in fact, there is nothing showing as an available device). Presonus Ucontrol software is installed(all IO is working) but I find nothing in that software about configuring for DAW control in any way, and a couple of youtube videos say to open that software and enable it, but I'm hitting a wall. Anybody have this setup working with HUI? All suggestions are welcome

Also tried hitting the DAW button on the mixer before going to Peripherals setup but it made no difference.

I don't see and reference to a HUI mode in the top level product lit
the only software they do reference is their own

I haven't and I won't download the manual and dig through it but I'm thinking they took the Avid rout with it (it only works with our stuff)

I took a peak at their website and on the product page they have a document called "HUI DAW Control Addendum" (under Resources).

Looks like there is a little setup involved but it seems well documented.
