If i get Steven Slate's Trigger Platinum, will i be able to load in a cd from say, Miss May I, & take their drum sounds & replace my drums w them? I had a guy tell me he did that and i wanted to learn how to do it!

If I read your question right, you're wondering if you can capture drum sounds from a commercial CD to use as replacements via drum replacement software?

The only way i can think of doing this would be if you had a seciton of the songs when it breaks to just drums - then this could be possible.

I'm also running steven slate , with 7.1 le and am wondering what the easiest way to get round this delay compensation problem is... can someone please help! This is driving me mad! My drums sound like they're flamming!

Yes, if there's a song on that CD that consists of the drummer saying:

"here's my kick drum: boom....boom....boom"
"here's my snare drum: crack....crack....crack"

And so on and so forth, you're in.

In the meantime, why not read up on the practice of drum replacement?
Google is a treasure trove of information.
