Default Can't import PT5.1 Sessions or SD2 files

Hi all, I have a 30 year old project I need to convert and deliver (tomorrow!).

It started life on my PT 5.1.3 TDM rig in MacOS 9.1 on PPC 9600. The audio files are all 16bit 48khz SDII.

In order to convert this I've installed OSX 10.8.5 and PT 10.3.10 on a MBP 2012 Retina.

I've copied all the data onto a USB thumb drive and then onto the boot drive attached to the Macbook.

The problem is after doing all this I find that PT can't import the sessions. They are greyed out and can't be selected using Import session data. Even the audio files are greyed out so can't even be imported as audio. What did I do wrong? Is this about MacOS 9 resource forks and data forks? Or should Pro Tools 10 be able to make sense of it?

If anyone knows I'd be very grateful. Thanks

Most likely yes. If the session was archived on an HFS+ drive and you copied it to a FAT32 thumb drive then you absolutely stripped the resource forks.

Doh! Schoolboy error

Thanks very much for the tip. I've lost valuable time, but thanks for setting me back onto the right trajectory.
