Groups not grouping

I'm sure this is probably user error, but I've never had this happen before. Seems correlated to the new PT update. I make a group of any number of tracks. Group turned on (highlighted), then select 1 track in the group by either clicking on its audio or track name, and only that track is highlighted, not the rest of the tracks in the group. Feels like they are basically just ungrouped. I've checked under "modify" and can't find anything there.

What am I missing?

Link Track and Edit Selection on? Does it still act as if everything is grouped?

Protools never highlighted all the grouped tracks in one group when I selected one member track. On my computer at least.
But they are grouped in the way I defined it in the globals or atrributes section in the group dialogue.
