Are there Digidesign 96 I/O Expansion Cards?
Hi there!
So I finally got myself a Digidesign 96 I/O HD interface and I was wondering if there were expansion cards available for it. I was researching and all I could find were cards for the 192 I/O, but then again what are the two free bays of my 96 I/O for? Regards, JK |

Nothing!!
8ch analog I/O and 8ch of Digital I/O. That's it. |

Seriously? There are even free connectors on the main PCB! That's a pity...

From what I understand it's a power supply thing. The 96 i/o doesn't have the same power supply as the 192 i/o, which is capable of powering the additional expansion cards whereas the 96 i/o's smaller power supply cannot.

Quote:
A/D converter power in the 96 I/O is provided by a shunt-regulated converter power supply borrowed from its bigger brother, the 192 I/O. http://www.blacklionaudio.com/content.php?p=9 |

Oh sorry, I think I was thinking of the 192 Digital I/O not the 96.
