Default 001 not recognised in win xp

Hi

I am a user of the 001 on win xp

However my 001 is not recognised by windows xp (cannot be enabled in the audio properties in control panel)
this means that I cannot play any audio cds through windows media player

Is there any soloution to this problem

any help would be much appreciated

You might want to search the DUC before you post a question.

You have to install the wavedriver if you want to use the 001 with non-pro tools programs. You will only get outputs 1&2 with high latency.
Digidesign is working on a ASIO driver for the 001 which would let it be addressed by almost all the audio programs out there.
