edit & mix windows not opening in last saved place

Since I upgraded from 6.9 I have been having a problem with my dual monitor setup. Every time I open a session both windows are never in the place where they were when I last saved the session. In fact, the mix window is so far to the left that I can just barely see a fraction of it. The edit window os also on the left monitor after I had saved it on the right.

This has only been a problem since the upgrade. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have a solution such as a lock windows option?

Yep.

The fix is;

set your windows as you like it to be, then close ProTools like this:
On the taskbar, right-click the PT7 bar and choose Close from there.

That should solve your problems.

Well, that's one step closer. Thank you. The PTLE 7.1 interface is still opening across both monitors, however the Mix window is no longer opening with just a fraction of it appearing in the left monitor. Now, the Mix and Edit windows are both opening in the left monitor (full screen) even after I had saved the session with the Edit window on the right monitor.

your left monitor has to be the primary display

Yep - just like bb said... You can change this by swapping monitor cables and then changing the extended desktop order in Windows (right-click on desktop --> properties --> display).

EXCELLENT!!! Opened up perfectly in both monitors. Mix on the left and edit on the right.

I start my courses for a Certificate in Sound Design at NYU a week from today and I plan on contributing back to the DUC when I have something of value to offer.
