HD Native Card and 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 model?

I'm seeing on the forum a couple of people mentioning that the HD Native Card has poor performance with the 2008 Mac Pro. Apparently a few different Mac Pros were made that year. I have a 3,1 model, 8 core 2.8 ghz "xeon" with 10 gb of ram. Does anyone know how well the HD Native card works with this computer? I was about to trade in my HD Accel 2 system for a Native card, and I need to know that it'll work. Thanks!

I'm about to find out the answer to that very question. I traded in my Accel PCIe core card for HD Native about a week ago. The card just arrived yesterday, so I'm preparing my Harpertown 3,1 for the install.

Using System Profiler on my mac it just says that my model is the MacPro3,1 and the processor name is "quad-core intel xeon"

How do I confirm that this is the Harpertown processor? Or is that definitely what the 3,1 is?
