yes I do run the samples from a seperate drive and checked the permissions.

Keep in mind that, even if you're running samples from a separate drive, you still have the alias that points to the samples located at MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Application Support>Spectrasonics>SAGE.

You should check permissions of the Spectrasonics and SAGE folders - those are the ones that need to be set correctly.

Everyone read write

The Spectrasonics Folder in the Library set

Pro - read write
Unknown write (I don't know what this is. Can't delete it)
Everyone - read only

what's interesting - now I have to hit Okay 3 times to dismiss the access error. It's CERTAINLY got something to do with permissions....

I have run permissions repair. I have run the nifty delete prefs/databases
