I know you have to call Apple; IIRC Darryl Ramm once posted here the number to call.

These links will eventually take you to the app store but will alow you to complete download before installing

I think I know why you had a problem with going to High Sierra before. Were you trying to go from a not-up-to-date OSX? I've run into that problem here and even though I didn't need for operation's sake to have the updated OSX I was going for if I wanted to do an in-situ move to a higher OSX I had to have the existing OSX install completely up to date. Of course an in-situ is not really the way to go. I've done it both ways and a clean install was always the better way.

Sorry if I didn't post "in your time line" but have you thought that some people might be in other time zones that do not match with yours? Maybe a little patience.
Now as to getting previous Mac Os's was actually easy ive both googled "xxxOS" and I've also found them thru online support thru Apple. I was able to get full previous OS versions.

Hi,

I finally managed to get High Sierra installed on my MacBook air. i downloaded via the app store, but then quit the app store and run the installer from the applications folder (Which is where the app store saves the download to) this way it installed without quitting half way through and hosing my installed OS.

Chris:
You won't find legitimate sources outside of Apple unless some kind friend will send them to you or post them in a large DropBox account. The free account isn't big enough to host the 5+ gb installer.

Time zone has nothing to do with this. You can't get legitimate full OSX installers outside of Apple. But you still have to call Apple to get them as they won't do it online. The only legit thing you'll find online via Google are updaters and not full installers. If you have links to prove otherwise - post it here. If not it's pure BS.

First of all watch who you're calling a liar. Second of all that's what you're saying by saying BS and it's not true because I have done it that way I just searched for it took me to Apple site and I downloaded the full OS now if you're not smart enough to be able to do that that's not my problem.

Good to hear Chris.
Can you tell me at what point you quit the app store.
iirc you have to be quick about it, otherwise like you say it continues to install….not sure.
What year is your Air?
mine is 2014

cheers
