Protools 11 A later version of 'Avid Pro Tools' is already installed on this machine

Hello everyone,

Here's my situation.
I'm a Protools 10/11 owner. I wanted to reinstall Protools because, at some point, my software decided to crash EVERYTIME i had more than 2-3 plugins inserted and/or when i switched settings for my audio board).
I uninstalled my software and everything that went along with it (Plugins like Waves / Arturia collection / Izotope / and other drivers / Ilok manager and such etc...)

I downloaded the installers (Protools 10/11) on the Avid website. Protools 10 got installed flawlessly.

I did the same with protools 11 but it didn't work... WHen i click on the setup.exe file and hit "Install Protools", i get one pop up message saying : "This setup will perform an upgrade of 'Avid Protools'. Do you want to continue?"

I hit "Yes"

Then, i get "A later version of 'Avid Pro Tools' is already installed on this machine. The setup cannot continue".

I tried to use PT uninstaller but whenever i did, it kept on scrolling. When i click on the window it states : "Do you want to delete the REG key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\App Patchs\ProtoolsLE.exe (Yes/no) ?

I start typing Yes or anything, it doesnt matter, it keeps on scrolling and display the same message over and over.

There is definitely a file or multiple files has hasn't been erased from last installation but i don't know how to get rid of it without having to reinstall windows.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Have you run a registry cleanup such as the one in CCleaner?

First of all, thank you for taking the time to help me.

I did indeed, on Ccleaner and Glary utilities. But, i get the same message...

EDIT : I just solved it !! I deleted the registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\App Patchs\Protools and ProtoolsHD.

Check to be sure you uninstall the HD driver as well as Pro Tools itself any time you need to uninstall PT.
