Strike- set content trouble
I have installed the fixes from Avid, with the Set Content download for Strike. But still I cannot get Strike to see the content. The plug just flashes-cannot read content, set content.
I have uninstalled, re-installed, and nothing seems to make the content available. The other four plugs from PTIEP work fine after the fixes. Any ideas what I should do?

Re: Strike- set content trouble
In which order did you install Strike? I believe you need to have Strike installed first then run Pro Tools 10. As Pro Tools 10 updates PTIEP.

Re: Strike- set content trouble
This did not help either, unfortunately. I have really tried everything that seems possible. There needs to be a fix put out....soon I hope!

Re: Strike- set content trouble
Sam, do a DUC search under the search field for Strike and see if a solution has been posted. There has been a lot of talk about this bug since Pro Tools 10 release.

Re: Strike- set content trouble
I had this problem. I had to uninstall Strike and reinstall it. When re-installing it I was prompted for where the content would be installed. After that, if it is moved at all Strike cannot find the content. I sense your problem is more complicated, but just thought I would throw in my two cents.
setlocation.exe does absolutely nothing on my system, expect to say "All Done!" Bill |

Re: Strike- set content trouble
Yep, bang on, it's like as if the Plug-In Installer needs to know where it's content is placed. Moving the content without the installer knowing, then running the Set Content Location application, does nothing.

Re: Strike- set content trouble
You guys are right about the set location....done is all I get too. I will call Avid again next week, still have a few complimentary codes.
Space Firebird, I did try what worked for you. Unfortunately it did not work for me. Thanks!

Gorbies, try a search of the DUC as there has been much said about this problem and you might catch a solution posted.

Re: Strike- set content trouble
I'm having similar issues.
Running a MBP 10.8.2, PT 10.3.2.47, Strike_1-1.5.1.15293. The plugin loads in a session on a stereo Instrument track, indicates that it can't find content. I can get drums to load from the pulldown below the preset pulldown, but nothing shows up in the strike browser window and even then won't play any sounds. I'd like to uninstall Strike, but am not sure how to do a full uninstall. Should there be an uninstaller included with the installer? Any insight will be much appreciated |
