ProTools 6.1 question?

Hey, I recently bought a Mbox and have been working with it for about a few days strait. I had a question about how to change the length of a sample. I put echo on a sample i was using to have it echo into a break of silence and then a build up, but the echo only lasts till the end of the sample. So I was trying to change the length of the sample and im not sure how. Of course I could be doing this totaly wrong, can anyone help me?

outta curiosity, are u usin RTAS or the destructine audiosuite plugs? n what type of echo? im assumin u mean delay, but i cud b wrong....

Im using the Audiosuite, so far it seems like delay does nothing.

Ok, well, as far as i no, when using audiosuite the effect will only last as long as the highlighted area you are worin on. so if you are wanting the effect to go on after your audio has finished, you need to highlight the entire area after it, up to the point you want it to stop. this may involve you puting some empty audio in there for the audiosuite plug to write to.
