solution for noise during playback
one problem with PT Free is the appearance of static noise during playback after working for a while. I have read different solutions in this forum like changing different parameters in the setup hardware or simply clickling OK, but if you do that, after four or five times, the system crashes ( al least my system, by the way a Notebook Dell Inspiron with the ESS Maestro).
What I am discovered is that if you keep on playing the song the noise increases, it goes "in crescendo" but after a while decreases and then dissapears. After that, apparently, it doesn´t come back and you can keep on working without recurrence of the problem. |

Re: solution for noise during playback
Soundcard / card driver bugs interacting with PTF. Not normal nor desirable. PTF can be a POS on some systems. Might try downloading most current drivers for the ESS.
Seems like I recall that card as being on the incompatable list. Might want to check the PTF documentation elsewhere on the 'site |
