Hi
Just copied a audio file from a different sequencer into pro tools free. The file in the track comes up as a rectangle box without a waveform in it. Because it plays back ok I've recorded this track into another audio track and the wavwform comes up, but when I save it and reload it into pro tools it goes back to a rectangle box with no waveform in it. Can anyone tell me why this is. Regards Michael Blount

Re: michaelblount
Will the waveform appear when you select a part of it using the mgnifying glass?
I think your track is too small to show the waves (everything covered with its name... Oh....could you please change the title of this topic to something appropriate?

Re: michaelblount
Could be your track view is set to 'Blocks' instead of Waveform. If they look like white rectangles, that's probably it.
Click on the word 'blocks' on the track in question (next to the track level meter) and a pop-up list will appear- choose 'waveform'. That should get things goin' straight. I think an appropriate title for the thread might be, "Dang, Bastiaan and Stone Knife are Cool" Whadda ya think? |
