Well, the S6L won´t even be considered for shows like The Voice and Dancing with the stars - iPad control is needed from the band.

S6L has already been used for the broadcast of The Voice in Finland. That said, it's DEFINITELY necessary.

Just for fun, check Ideascale again, the request for an app is from 2009, that's 8 years, for an app....
Yess i know there where limitations on the old system that probably made it impossible, but if you had a single client app ready back then you would have a lot to take with it to the new system.

I know you shouldn't buy a console for what it might do in the future, but who would have thought that it would take Avid that long....

soo please, hire some more people or do whatever it takes!

Broadcast yes, PA and Mons, not a chance. The band requires iPad. For IEM control. I was doing PA and wishing for a plugin. The people supplying newly bought a very capable console which I do like a lot, but simply because of the iPad thing, Avid consoles is not even evaluated.

It's fairly expensive (£27.50) and certainly not perfect but INFINITELY better than VNC and the lack of an AVID alternative.

I don't think 30 bucks is expensive, not when you see the functionality.

Somehow I think it's funny, I think I suggested to avid to outsource the development of an app, and some others did the same...

Whatever, it will be downloaded and used very soon, for this weekends shows it came to late, I want to test it thoroughly, but next week it will be running I think :)

It says in the user guide for the V-Remote that “Communication with the console is done via the console's ECx option which must be installed and configured to connect to a wireless access point.”


I have a client (church) that has an SC48 that I installed a while ago and I haven’t needed to be there in a while , they seem to be happy. So I haven’t touched an SC48 in a while. Is the ECx already installed on an SC48 or is it optional hardware or optional software? Is there an additional cost for the SC48?
