Default Should The Mbox 2 Pro Be Unplugged After Sessions?

If I put my computer to sleep, should I unplug the firewire Mbox 2 every night?

I always shut down in sequence - powered monitors, Pro Tools, computer, mixer, external hard drive, MIDI controllers - then turn off all the power.

Next day, I do the reverse to begin proceedings. Never had a problem - everything recognised and working.

You don't have to disconnect the Mbox2 Pro. It gets the power from your computer via the firewire cable. If you power down your computer the Mbox2 Pro loose it's power anyway, so disconnecting it is redundant.

Some people even pull out the power plug from the socket to all their gear incase of overload in the power grid etc. Other say powering up/down your computer/gear all the time shortens the lifespan.

Nothing lasts forever

I've been putting my Mac Mini to sleep every night (instead of shutting it down), and the light on the pro keeps flashing. I guess I'll continue to unplug the FireWire cable so I don't go insane. Does it matter if the light is flashing? Should I keep it plugged into the wall as well?
