I am also using REASON with REWIRE

The Problem
I have been using this current system for a couple of months now. The system is ONLY used for recording with Pro Tools. In the early stage it seemed quite stable, but as I started asking more of the system, things went awry. I had followed the installation and system set up meticulously.

I am having extremely annoying intermittent MIDI sync faults. I will be working on a session, complete the session. Save the session. Close down Pro Tools and my computer. INTERMITTENTLY ( but generally for the whole day) on restarting the session the MIDI is out of sync. This is generally the drums (Addictive Drums, which I have the latest version of)

The first time this occurred I was getting DAE 7400 error. The suggested solution to this problem had no effect.
I then followed the General Troubleshooting guidelines (bar turning off Bluetooth as I use a wireless mouse). Downloaded the TECH Support Folder and followed the instructions.
This seemed to really make things messy, so I ended up uninstalling Pro Tools and Addictive Drums (not even sure if this plug in is the problem, but was the one suffering the most) and re installing both of them. I Repaired Disc Permissions after doing this and low and behold, it was working again......... for a few days.

I Started a new session which had more MIDI info. Addictive Drums and REASON Rewired. The session was all good. I saved it and closed Pro Tools and shut down my computer.

Before opening the session the next day I did put a new POD X3 into the system. I was getting some sample rate messages until I changed the preferences within the POD, but I HAD NOT OPENED the previous days session yet.

When I did, the drums were out of sync again..... [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]!!!!!!

When this occurs, the TRANSPORT behaves strangely. On pressing PLAY there is a one second pause and the STOP button lights up followed by the PLAY button flashing before the track commences playing. This ONLY happens when I get the sync faults.

This morning when I opened the track it played fine (little [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]!!!) but I am sure I'll get this fault again when I don't need it.

I hope I haven't blabbed on too much. It would be REALLY GREAT to have some help on this because I'm getting near my wits end.

Cheers

Nic
