midi studio doesn't recognize midi controller AKAI LPK25
Hello,
I'm trying to use AKAI LPK25 usb midi keyboard with Pro Tools 11 under windows7. The purpose is sending midi notes to NI-Plugins. But Pro Tools doesn't receive the midi data. when I play the keyboard while an instrument track is record ready and recording - the midi meter in the instrument header is showing no level. In the midi studio window the controller doesn't automatically show up as an instrument but it's listed in the midi devices list as LPK25(emuliert) I tried the following things: create an instrument track, as input in the track header I select All, or select LPK25 (wich is listed under predifened) in midi studio: created a new instrument and selected as input and output the LPK25. The model is no option so i selected another LPK model instead. with DAW sequia the controller workes well - so midi data is being send to the computer. Also windows does recognize the device and lists it in the device manager (but without recognizing the exact name) the LPK25 doesn't need drivers to be installed, it's plug&play. do you have any Idea what could be the problem? thank you in advance! M. S. sound engeneer student
