Re: Pro Tools MTRX
It looks like it is literally a rebadged DAD AX32.

Re: Pro Tools MTRX
It is that, a real DAD. In my opinion it's a great step.

Avid: will there be trade-ins from the existing I/O?

And, will it support loop sync?

Re: Pro Tools MTRX
If it's almost full DAD, with the preamp and other options, it will be a killer product.

Re: Pro Tools MTRX
The DAD version has mini Digilink connectors with BNCs right next to them, so I'd say yes. |

Re: Pro Tools MTRX
This does indeed look promising.
The base unit doesn't have any AtoD or DtoA as standard at least as a DAD. I wonder what the Avid branded version will offer. If you need to add a lot of cards it could get pretty eye-wateringly expensive. The monitoring options look very cool though and the promise of having that available on the PT control Ipad app is exciting!

Re: Pro Tools MTRX
But they are MADI and word clock connectors on a DX32. So the question remains....
