Default IMAC G5 - Midplane assembly/capacitor problems?

I am in need of a new computer for my 002r. right now I have an 800mhz g4 imac. I was looking at the g5 imac but saw where many people are having problems with the midplane assembly and leaking capacitors after a few months use. Anyone using protools on one of those experiencing that? I would like to stay with a mac but if the imac is not going to cut it, will think about a pc as the dual g5's are a little much money-wise. Thanks for your input.
