Pro Tools 12.5 crashing every time try to open

If I create a session and save it to documents I can never open it again, no matter how many times I try, it instantly crashes, but if I save it to the desk top or an external drive, no problems!

any reasons for this?

while we are waiting for your system info .. could this be the permissions for the Documents Folder are NOT allowing you to use a session from this folder ??? .. and btw: we all mostly run our sessions from a drive other than the Main Program / OS Drive on computers .. ie: external drives etc ..

the only way i ever run on the main internal drive is if travelling and i do not have room in my bag for another drive ..

Macbook Pro 2.8, 16g RAM, i.7 Quad core, 2015. Flash storage.
UA Apollo twin Duo interface
OSX El Capitan 10.11.3


The problem is fine if I save to an external drive or my desk top.
