Interesting replies above that, although well intended, are probably not helpful to the OP. I'll try again.

Curious if anyone is using a DNS2000 with 12.. it's been a bit of a headache over here. I have to power cycle the unit every time I open a session. I get crashes if I close a session without doing so.
Which OS and which version of ceder aax plugin? I'm running 4 channels of DNS2k with CEDARDnsAAX plugin v5.3, OSX10.10.3, with PT12.3 and now 12.4, all without Cedar problems. Usually my DNS2k's stay powered 24/7.

10 samples latency is a problem for you?

I'm running 2 channels of DNS2k with v6 AAX, PT 12.4 HD, OSX el capitan.

They released version 7 6 months ago. Maybe try that.

Contact Cedar.

I'm happy to send you the v5.3 installer if you want to give it a shot. I have no idea how it will behave on El Capitan, but it's worked perfectly on Yosimite. PM your email if you want to try it. In any case, let us know what happens!

Thanks for the offer! I did contact Paul at Cedar, he got back within minutes(!). I did update to 7, same issue though... I'll see what Paul says, otherwise I might take you up on 5.3.

A bit out of topic but v7 works perfect in PT11 but in SM 4.5Pro b189 it doesn't show up. So I placed v6 in the VST folder for SM to work with. And its fine.
Anyone uses DNS One v7 in SM with success? I contacted Cedar about this issue a while ago but no results yet.

Of course. My brain process the sound now in 64 bit. So I pay attention to every single sample of latency. While I tolerate one sample, the two sounds for me too harsh. Same are my clients if they hear the latency of two samples they most probably will slam the studio door.
The most annoying is to see the latency displaying in digits and if its 2 digits it can ruin my day and even a week. So I like Zero latency because it looks like a circle or okay sign, so I can work more productively.

For those of us that need perspective (and I include myself) at a sample rate of 48KHz 2 samples equate to roughly 42 µsec.
