Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
Is there a way to immediately display all AUX channels on the Fader Section of the ProControl Main unit?
The ProControl User's guide only refers to the the MASTER FADERS switch being able to immediately display all Master Fader(s). How many master faders does it take to fade-out a stereo mix? I tend to do a lot of submixing of various instruments and would like to be able to recall all of the AUX channels at one time, on demand. It seems that the MASTER FADERS switch could be assigned double-duty to recall all Master Faders &/or all AUX Faders. |

Re: Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
Hello Joel,
I don't know if I understand you, but if you want to fade aux channels you can select the send you want on the left side in the middle of the ProCo and then hit the flip switch and you're there. regards, Geert |

Re: Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
Ah stupid me, I read your post again, I understand what you mean. Yes, recall all Aux-channels would be a good feature indeed. What I do is to keep sessions grouped in banks of 8 tracks so you can switch with the nudge button.

Re: Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
To achieve this I group a 'Dummy' Master fader to the said aux submaster. Set Masterfader output to unused bus. Now when you hit the dedicated master faders button you have them at the Mainunit and they are linked to the subs. You can only automate fader...(there is no mute on master faders). But it works great.

Re: Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
Hey Rob,
Thanks for that clever tip. Yes, I agree, it does work; but, for Me, it does not necessarily fix the problem. I'm sure that recalling all AUX channels on demand (like all Master Faders) could be a cheap and easiy software fix for Digidesign...but will they honor us ProControl users with such updates is a whole other discussion. I can't believe that I have spent nearly $30,000 on a PC Main Unit, 2 Fader Packs and an Edit Pack and Digi RARELY if ever pays any attention to the most expensive item that they sell. Anyway, thanks again for the tip. |

Re: Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
It would be super cool is control-master fader button showed us the aux channels.
C'mon Digi please? For THAT I would upgrade to PT 6. |

that said ... the control / masterfader to aux pop up feature would be a nice one indeed.

Re: Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
or, you could create a memory location that just shows the aux tracks, and one that shows all tracks and toggle between them.....hopefully (but probably unlikely) you don't need to use the non-aux faders at the same time? Definitely not nearly as cool as the master fader button, but it would get the job done.
good luck! |

You are absolutely correct. But if you recall, in order for Digi to finally impliment the trim/scrub feature, it took a heated trim/scrub thread before Digi honored what the end-user repeatedly requested. If I recall, that trim/scrub thread lasted over a year...probably the longest DUC thread to date. PT 6.0 rules, but updating the ProControl, too, (per-customer request) on a regular basis would most excellent. I have many more ProControl software update requests. Re: Recall all AUX Faders, on Demand
yeah, but if you decide to add a new aux track, you have to redo your mem loc. kind of a drag.
