Default Copy and Paste Clip Gain issues

Anyone else finding it a major PITA to copy and paste clip gain to the desired location? It's very tricky to get it to paste where you want it.

It's a pain in the ass to try to even type out.

1. Select a section of clip gain you want to copy and copy it
2. Put your cursor on the clip you want to paste to at the EXACT position your previous selection starts.
3. Right-click and choose Paste Clip Gain.

For step 2, there are a couple of things to watch out for. First, you have to zoom in really close before you right click to paste. If you don't right click at the EXACT location your selection starts at (even with grid mode on), it won't paste at the exact spot. Also, if the clip you are trying to paste to is trimmed up to the exact spot you are trying to paste at, it won't work. You have to add some blank space on the clip before the position you are trying to paste at.

Ideally I should just be able to highlight a clip, copy clip gain, highlight another clip, paste the clip gain, and be done with it. But this is not the case.

In my case, I can not copy/paste the clip gain from a clip to another how I used to do in ProTools 10. So, that's clearly a bug that Avid need to solve. My only solution at this moment is to convert clip gain to Automation volume, copy that automation volume to another track, and then convert that automation volumen con clip gain again. So f**** boring!

Please, solve this! Clip gain is the only reason I upgraded to ProTools 10, and now it's not working? OMG!

Hey bro, thanks for the workaround. You must agree with me though, that cut and paste should do exactly that, without long workarounds. Clip gain cut and paste simply does not work. There was an earlier version of 12 (I've forgotten which one) that had clip gain working as expected, after many complaints. But it (as at v 12.8.1 for me) doesn't work! Same old Avid BS all over again and again! But I don't know which version you are currently using...

Hiya,
sorry I'm new in the forum. It's supposed that I add my system details in my registration, but now I see that they are not visible. Any idea why they are not visible?

At any case, I'm completely updated as my system (computer included) is new, so my versions are:

Mac Pro 3,5 Ghz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5. 64 GB 1866 Mhz DDR3.
High Sierra 10.13.2
ProTools 12.8.3
