bounce in Logic4.5=OK/bounce inPT5.0.1=FREEZE

sorry, but this is freaking me out.

Bounce of any numbers of tracks in Logic Plat.4.5 absolutely no problem!

but then, in PT 5.0.1, EVERY time i try to bounce, even just 3 or 4 tracks, FREEZE!

i dont get it, both softs use the same hardware, the same DAE, whats going on?

8600, CrescendoG4/450, 258ram, SBS-7slot expansion, formac videocard,

i tried diff. memory and ext. settings
i am lost, this worked on PT4.3 perfectly,
anybody having an idea?

Have you tried replacing the stock 8600 processor to see if it's a problem with the Crescendo G4?

not yet, didnt have the time to go thru this. actually i am working mostly in Logic, but some clients want to use PT.
PT4.3 was working fine on the Crescendo, as did Logic. now only Logic is bullet proof, with the Velocity Engine enabled. is the PT5 optimized for G4(VelocityEngine)?
