Default External Hardware Plug-In (just dreaming...)

Reading the DUC on not-so-great software samplers and dead-end plug-ins emphasizes how much external hardware is still SO up-to-date!
You can buy in ebay incredible Kurzweil and Akai samplers or Lexicon and TC Eletronics effects for "a few" bugs... if you already don't own'em all (yeah plus the ones that you can't never sell away...: DX7, D50, JV, JD...)

That brings me back an old dream:

Why some company out there could not develop a "universal" plug-in where you could store all the settings of your external gear so that you can EASILY save them in a pro tools session???

A dream: you open up a session and you have all of your external gear working on tune!!!!

Remember those boring Midi editors and Program Changes...? Not anymore!
You can simply set everything in this "External Hardware Plug-In", and recall it as you recall your favorite plug-in settings!

Just dreaming...

I won't need any software sampler anymore...
I'd buy a Akai S6000 or a K2600 with the optional ADAT card plugged into my protools...
I won't need all of those software instruments... i could recall all my external gear settings with a click!!!

I know, just dreaming...
