Default Need your help with a weird session at 88.2

Hey friends

We have a session created with HDN and HD10 a few years ago and somehow it has been created in 88.2 and we have big issues with the session keeping on beat and also weird quantize behavior with real drum recordings. Hits keep drifting and after a 6 hr editing session with kick and snare we oφen the next day and some hits are out of sync/not on the beat where we edited last time.

I am fed up and need to do a new clean session.

How do I get the session on 48 and is save copy in what we need to do? Never had this happen ever so I am not sure shats best. All audio are stems and need to make a new session with 48/32 easiest way. And hopefully that will shape up all these errors and weirdness.

Greatful for any assistance
Thank You for any insight

You've got two quick choices for converting the whole session to 48k.

1) Save Copy In...
and in the dialog that appears, select your desired bit depth and sample rate.
Make sure to check the "Audio Files" checkbox (and whatever options you want to select).

OR

2) Create a new blank session with your desired bit depth and sample rate, and Import Session Data from the existing 88.2k session. In the Audio Media Options of the dialog box that appears, select the "Force to target session format" option.
Set all of your other import options to include (or ignore) whatever other information you want to pull into the new session.

Either method will convert all of the session's audio to the new sample rate.
Whether or not this will correct your timing / synchronization issues will depend on what's actually going wrong in the first place.
What you're describing sounds like what happens when a session is being played through an audio interface that claims to be at the correct sample rate, but isn't actually clocking correctly. So maybe forcing the session to a more commonly used sample rate will in fact fix the issue.
If one method doesn't work, it would still be worth trying the other method.

Awesome! Yeah, we've seen some really strange audio clock behavior over the years, even in top-level commercial studios.
Importing the session data into a clean new session is often a good first step in stripping out anything that's gone corrupt...
(And occasionally varispeeding the ENTIRE session after-the-fact to compensate for the fact that an in-house engineer provided by the studio didn't realize that a previous client had switched the word clock source to a video sync box )
:)
